Bourbon is refined from a mash made from water, yeast, and a mixture of grains consisting of a minimum of 51% corn. The rest of the grains are typically a combination of a small amount of malted barley and either rye or wheat. The mash can not be distilled to 160 proof and entered into the barrel at no higher than 125 proof. The cask used to age the distillate must be made from charred American oak and be the first fill, meaning that it hasn't been used before. The bourbon store online on Moyen Xpress will guarantee you get your bottle without damaging it.
