In Diablo 2: Resurrected, many equipment players can find many different diablo 2 resurrected items statistics, such as increasing elemental resistance or increasing the chance of blocking. There are even some less obvious property changes, such as light radius. This guide will detail what exactly Light Radius is! Light radius manifests itself in dark parts of Diablo 2 where there is no natural light. Characters have a default light radius and can increase or decrease this value with items. This property is listed as '"±# to Light Radius"' on items. With multiple items possessing this property, the individual amounts are added together. The maximum increase is +5. Beyond this, there is no added effect. The minimum is -12. No matter whether it is a large or small light radius, there is not much advantage, and it seems to be a mechanism left over from the original Diablo. But the increased light radius will remind the enemy of the presence of the character more quickly. This has caused some players to equip equipment with as small a radius as possible so that they can actually sneak into some enemies. If having a larger Light Radius does sound appealing to players, they should be aware that their base stat starts at 13, with the maximum capping at 18. This means they only need to equip items that total +5. Any more than this won't do anything. In Diablo 3 Light Radius was made redundant, as the game was much brighter than the previous titles. The developers didn't bring back the ability to sneak past enemies with a low radius, so the stat was just trashed. Unless the devs for Diablo 4 choose to rework the system, it seems unlikely that Light Radius will return in the upcoming sequel. For more guides, feel free to browse here.
